Navigating Cyberbullying/Cyberviolence in Schools Project

Subsidy Overview:

As part of the HR Project, the three Ontario principals’ associations, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Education, will be offering subsidies of $250 to a limited number of eligible candidates for completion of the Principal’s Qualification Program (PQP) Practicum for the 2022-2023 year.

Up to 8 subsidies will be allotted on a first come, first served basis, to those candidates whose practicum focuses on addressing prevention and response to cyberbullying/cyberviolence. 

Eligibility and Process:

Please note: If your practicum proposal has already been approved, you cannot change it to align with the criteria for this subsidy.

This subsidy is available to OPC PQP candidates  from the Summer 2022, Fall 2022, Spring 2023 or Summer 2023 session, who have already completed or will complete their practicum prior to July 31, 2023.

 

To apply for the subsidy, please complete the steps below.

  1. Register for the subsidy and

  2. Upload a short description (approximately 200 words) of the practicum demonstrating focus on prevention strategies and response to cyberbullying/cyberviolence.

Subsidy applications will be reviewed within five business days to ensure compliance with subsidy criteria. All applicants will receive a notification, whether approved or not. After approval your reimbursement will be processed.

 

All submissions are due no later than July 31, 2023.

Only those who received confirmation of approval will receive a subsidy. The subsidy will be paid following successful completion of all requirements.

 

The OPC issues T22O2 receipts for eligible courses, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the candidate (taxpayer) to ensure that their taxes are filed in accordance with CRA guidelines. If you have any questions related to taxes, we recommend you contact an accountant or the CRA.
