We are seeking experienced elementary and secondary principals to facilitate the Special Education for Administrators Qualification Program (SEAQP) and the Special Education module of the Principals’ Development Course (PDC).  Practising principals are invited to apply for the SEAQP and PDC instructor positions.  


Application Process

Applicants are asked to submit

  • a cover letter
  • a curriculum vitae and
  • two letters of support: one from a principal colleague and one from a supervisory officer.

 

Selection Process 
Applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria. This process may include contacting candidate references. Candidates may be invited to take part in an interview.

Selection Criteria

The applicant

  • has successfully completed the Special Education for Administrators Qualification Program
  • is a Member of the OPC in good standing
  • is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) in good standing
  • is a practising principal with recent, relevant and varied school experiences
  • has identified expertise in areas of school leadership, special education and facilitation
  • demonstrates comfort using technology to enhance learning
  • is an exemplary school leader, as acknowledged by peers and supervisors
  • is dynamic, resourceful, well-read and informed
  • demonstrates a province-wide perspective
  • understands and demonstrates adult learning principles when engaging adult learners
  • is an excellent communicator and
  • demonstrates a “lead learner” stance as an educator.
