Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Facilitator Posting 

We are seeking OPC Members who are highly qualified practising elementary and secondary principals to primarily facilitate the Special Education for Administrators Qualification Program (SEAQP) for TDSB cohorts, specifically an upcoming Spring offering that will be a hybrid (in-person/online) delivery.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Communicating program requirements and expectations to candidates  

  • Monitoring candidate participation and engagement in the program and providing candidates with meaningful and relevant feedback to enhance learning  

  • Collaborating with the program lead and OPC team to plan and deliver approved course content  

  • Delivering the program as requested and in accordance with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Guidelines  

  • Completing the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training to support our efforts to continuously improve the delivery of our programs through an anti-oppressive and human rights lens 

  • Being punctual for in-person/synchronous sessions and communicating changes directly with candidates, program lead and/or other facilitator regarding any changes to scheduled sessions  

  • Supporting development and review of content as requested  

  • Meeting with the OPC team and other facilitators as needed  

Selection Criteria

A successful applicant will possess the following: 

  • Be a Member of the OCT in good standing. 

  • Have a clearly demonstrated lens of human rights and anti-oppression as it relates to access and delivery of special education 

  • Have an understanding of public education in Ontario.  

  • Have exemplary experience as a practising principal with recent, relevant and varied school experiences related to leading inclusive education practices.

  • Have expertise in key areas of human rights, legislation, policies and procedures related to special education. 

  • Demonstrated understanding and use of principles of universal design and differentiated instruction for learning.
  • Show demonstrated understanding of a province-wide perspective. 
  • Have strong communication abilities in facilitating, speaking and writing. 

  • Have a dynamic and resourceful approach to work based on continuous self-learning and knowledge of current trends and research in education.  

  • Understand and demonstrate adult learning principles.  

  • Have a “lead learner” stance as an educator. 

  • Have in-depth knowledge of foundational principles that support equity, diversity, inclusion anti-oppression and anti-colonialism.  

  • Be comfortable using a Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate learning  

  • Have a high level of comfort using a variety of digital tools to enhance learning. 

The following will be considered an asset: 

  • Experience in both elementary and secondary panels 

  • Successful completion of SEAQP 

Selection Process 

Our selection team will review and assess all applications based on the identified success criteria. Selected candidates will be invited to take part in an online interview via Zoom meeting (with video) and will need to be available on February 24, 2026. This process also includes contacting references and ensuring balanced regional representation.

  • two references (at least one supervisory officer).
