The Ontario Principals’ Council (OPC) provides ongoing professional learning that is integral to supporting and promoting exemplary school and system leadership that directly impacts student well-being and inclusive education. 

Professional learning is dedicated to providing and consistently improving upon a broad spectrum of meaningful and relevant learning opportunities that

  • honours participant identities and lived experiences, is accessible and responsive to learning needs within an adult learning model

  • are informed by research, continuous feedback and collaboration to support diverse adult learners in deepening their knowledge, skills and attitudes to support equitable and inclusive leadership

  • acknowledge Indigenous peoples’ inherent rights, sovereignty and right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action,

  • align with OPC’s Statement on Human Rights and 

  • are developed and facilitated with an equity lens that is grounded in ongoing learning and reflection of bias, discrimination and barriers at the personal, school and system levels.
