As an administrator, you receive 100% of your salary for the first 11 sick days. After that, you are entitled to an additional 120 days paid at 90% of regular salary (short-term sick leave credits).

If you do not use all 11 sick days during a school year, you may carry any remaining days over into the following year to top-up your short-term sick leave credits from 90% to 100% salary. Each top-up day enables 10 short-term sick leave credits to be paid at 100%, rather than 90%, of salary.

There is a refresh period for administrators returning to work after a sick leave in the previous school year. In this case, you must work 11 consecutive days in the new school without absence due to illness to access your new year's sick leave allotment.
