Retired principals and vice-principals can apply for Term Assignment membership to receive Protective Services coverage and support while working in supply administrator positions. Protective Services coverage for this work is not available through an Associate category of membership.

Term Assignment membership applies to work up to the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) limit of 50 working days during a school year (September-August). If you continue working beyond the end of the month in which you reach the 50-day limit, you may maintain your membership coverage by paying the difference between the Term Assignment membership fee, currently $761, and the full membership fee, currently $1,475.

To receive retroactive coverage, apply within 30 calendar days of the start of your first term assignment of the school year. The completed Term Assignment Membership Application should be returned to Membership Services by fax (1866-445-9249), email or mail.

Please visit the OTPP website for further information about the re-employment limit.
