Leadership Conversation Series
In March, the Ontario Human Rights Commission released an action plan titled, Dreams Delayed: Addressing Systemic Anti‑Black Racism and Discrimination in Ontario’s Public Education System. As education duty holders, principals and vice-principals play a pivotal role in advancing the call to dismantle systemic anti-Black racism in our public education system through accountability, equitable leadership and urgent action.
We are hosting a six-part discussion series that will unpack the Dreams Delayed Action Plan through the lens of equity and inclusion, focusing on concrete steps for leadership in schools. Each session will engage special guests and participants, focusing on how we can work together to disrupt systemic barriers and support inclusive learning environments. Participants will explore strategies, share practices and build collective capacity to move the plan from vision to action. Learn more and join the conversation!
Anxiety and Burnout Webinars
Anxiety and burnout are common challenges in today’s fast-paced world, often taking a heavy toll on both mental and physical health. Constant pressure and stress can leave us feeling disconnected, frustrated and overwhelmed. Without proper tools and support, these struggles can become debilitating. We’ve partnered with Starling Minds to bring you the Anxiety & Burnout workshop, designed to help you recognize early signs and provide practical strategies to manage them effectively. You’ll learn proven techniques to reset your mind and body, restore balance and nurture your well-being for the long haul. The workshops will take place on Tuesday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 pm EDT. Register here.
Important Survey Coming
The three principal associations (ADFO/CPCO/OPC) have once again retained ABACUS Data to conduct a wide-ranging survey of school administrators in Ontario. The survey will provide all Members with the opportunity to share their views, allowing us to be more accurately informed about the issues that matter most to you. A similar survey in 2023 assisted us with provincial bargaining. You will receive an email and link to the survey directly from ABACUS Data. We encourage all Members to complete the survey. It will be open from October 14–28.
