Thank You and Happy Summer! As I wrap up my time as president of the Ontario Principals’ Council, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the incredible school leaders across Ontario. It’s been such a privilege to represent you, advocate for your work and learn from your experiences. Over the past year, I’ve seen firsthand just how committed, creative and resilient our leaders are—and it’s been truly inspiring.

This work isn’t easy, and it can take a lot out of us. Sustainable leadership starts with recognizing that we’re human. That’s why I want to leave you with this reminder: take care of yourselves. Supporting our own well-being isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity if we want to keep doing this work. When we give ourselves permission to pause, reflect and seek support, we create the space to lead with greater clarity, humility and purpose.

Thank you for your trust, your dedication and for reminding me every day why this work matters. I hope you have a restful, safe and happy summer.

Appreciation for Those Who Support Us

Behind every strong organization is a team that ensures the work moves forward with clarity and purpose. I want to take a moment to acknowledge the dedicated staff at the OPC. Their ongoing efforts—often behind the scenes—have helped ensure that we, as school leaders, are supported, informed and connected.

Their commitment to public education and to our collective success has been invaluable, and I’m deeply grateful for the role they’ve played throughout this year. If you need any help over the summer months, OPC staff are available to offer support.
