Maintaining Optional Insurance Beyond Retirement

If you are retiring during the current school year and have optional insurances under the OPC Benefits plan, you can maintain them beyond retirement up to age 70, provided you apply for an Associate or Term Assignment membership, no later than 30 days from the retirement date. You can access your benefits profile by logging on to our website, clicking on My Profile in the upper right corner of the page, then Benefits Profile. If the “Employee Cost” listed on your profile is $0.00, this indicates you do not have that coverage. Email us at opcbenefits@principals.ca prior to your retirement date for more information.

Seeking Content Review Advisors

We are seeking two recently retired principals—one elementary and one secondary—to serve as Content Review Advisors for the Protective Services Team (PST). These contracted roles involve a collaborative review and update of PST Tip Sheets to ensure alignment with professional standards, legislation and inclusive practices. Apply by Tuesday, May 27 at 5:00 p.m.
