OPC Posting – Director of Protective Services 
We are hiring a Director of Protective Services to lead our Protective Services Team (PST). The successful candidate will lead the PST using a shared leadership approach, support OPC Districts, represent OPC Members in workplace investigations and discipline matters, develop relationships with school board leadership teams and provide professional counsel and support to P/VPs. Applications must be received by email by 4:30 p.m. EDT on Friday, May 10, 2024. In-person interviews will take place June 6, 7 and 8, 2024 and possible follow-up interviews will take place virtually on June 13. Learn more about the position and application details.

Moving Through Grief Workshop 

Starling Minds is offering a 6-week workshop to help deal with grief. Workshop participants will come together to find solace, support and healing. A safe space will help you to explore and understand your feelings, find ways to navigate challenging times or support others in theirs, and connect with people who understand what you're going through. The workshops will take place Tuesdays from May 7 to June 11, 2024 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. EDT.

Webinar: Addiction, Mental Illness and Work

Canada Life is offering a free webinar on Workplace Strategies for Mental Health (WSMH). Learn how to manage issues of substance abuse, addiction and mental illness. A panel of speakers will share their stories and experiences in managing addiction and mental illness, including from the perspectives of leaders, loved ones and those living it. The webinar will be on May 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. It will be in English but French interpretation, slides and resource links will be available. Add the event to your calendar.
