Celebrating 30 Years of Black History Month
This year’s Black History Month theme, 30 Years of Black History Month Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries, invites reflection on generations of achievement and the voices shaping the future. This month offers an opportunity for deeper learning, conversations and reflection as part of our ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion and dismantling systemic anti-Black racism.
Short Term Disability Benefits and Sick Leave During Non-Work Periods
If you experience issues related to Short Term Disability Benefits (STDB) or sick leave deductions during non-work periods, please contact Intake at 416-322-6600.
This includes situations where sick leave or STDB days are deducted during the Summer Break, March Break, Winter Break or other non-work days when there is no obligation to be at work, as well as situations where STDB pay is not provided pending an appeal.
Reporting these situations helps support ongoing Disputes (for more information please see the special President’s Message that was sent on January 14) and ensures we have accurate information about how Members are being impacted.
