The Ontario Principals’ Council (OPC)  may award Honorary Life Memberships to individuals who have rendered exemplary service by advancing or upholding the purposes of our organization. Nominees must have made substantial contributions to the provincial organization to qualify.

Past Presidents of the OPC will be awarded an Honorary Life Membership.

Every nominee for Honorary Life Membership must have the support of at least 10 Members of the local OPC or of the Board of Directors.

The nomination must be accompanied by evidence indicating a major contribution to the OPC at the provincial level (at least 250 words).

Nominations should be submitted to corporate@principals.ca. The closing date for the receipt of nominations shall be May 31st each year.

The Board of Directors or an ad-hoc committee named by the Board of Directors will consider nominations. The Board of Directors will accept or reject the nominations at its August meeting.

The designation of Honorary Life Membership shall be conferred at the Annual President’s Dinner with the presentation of a certificate.

Profiles of the recipients of the Honorary Life Member designation may be included in The Register.
