Jeff Maharaj has been a secondary school administrator with the Durham District School Board since 2007, most recently as the centrally assigned System Lead for Equitable Education, Family of Schools and School Operations. Throughout his career, he has been a strong advocate for vice-principals and principals. He has held several leadership roles within OPC Durham including President and Secondary Terms and Conditions Representative.

At the provincial level, Jeff has served as both a Provincial Councillor and an Executive Member for six years. He is honoured and excited to serve as provincial president in 2025–2026. Jeff believes that Ontario’s principals and vice-principals have a powerful collective voice. He sees the role of the OPC as working collaboratively with Members to organize and amplify that voice in support of school leaders across the province.
